Welcome! WestLog is finally under construction.
Welcome to WestLog.com. WestLog is our family’s nickname, here on the
“left” coast. Other “Logs” have included
LincolnLogs, YuleLogs, PowerLogs, WaterLogs, CedarLogs, and
more
WestLog has been an active entity since 1964. In California, WestLog became known to many computer enthusiasts through the WestLog BBS system that had up to 62,500 users from 1983 to 1990.

As of March 2009, I am rebuilding WestLog. It will not be a quick process as I am focusing more on my doctoral dissertation, but I will get it built and set up for timely updates as life goes on.
In WestLog’s www home, we will have content for university projects and classes, ham
radio, military, training-development-enrichment, family, Rick’s Notes, news, many discussions, and more.
WestLog is also the home of CARTOG, the Coast Amateur Radio Training and Operations Group. CARTOG supports California’s Central Coast area with training and event support activities. Through CARTOG, people in our community have opportunities to get Radio-Active through discovery of the wonder and excitement of Amateur Radio. CARTOG brings hams together regardless of their club or organizational affiliations, to enrich our ham radio family and support our communities with emergency communications, disaster services, event support, and fun activities.
Our family is hyper active and enjoys all sorts of activities, hobbies, sports, geocaching, exploring, swimming, and more. We will put some of our family news and things we have found to do in the “Family” pages.
The plan is to put a message area/blog into each of the areas, sub-boards, sites, and content areas.
